Accidents happen. You may not be able to prevent them, but now you can be financially protected with Starr Wright USA’s Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance designed for federal employees.
We have worked with our affiliate Starr Indemnity & Liability Company to develop an accident insurance program to fit the needs of federal employees. Starr Wright USA enables you to choose the level of coverage to fit your needs at affordable rates. We offer coverage for accidental death and accidental dismemberment with an added benefit for covered exposure and covered disappearance. Accident insurance coverage is also available for your spouse and/or children from Starr Wright USA.
These are individually-issued policies, so your coverage is portable. You can keep it even if you change jobs or retire (as long as you pay premiums when due and meet all other requirements of the policy). Starr Indemnity & Liability Company is an “A” rated insurance company by A.M. Best Company.
The purpose of accident insurance is to provide you or your family with a lump-sum payment following a qualifying accident, such as a fall, traffic incident or homicide. In comparison to traditional life insurance, accident insurance is a limited form, as coverage terminates at a designated age — our accident insurance for federal employees, for example, concludes at 85 years of age.
Many types of accident insurances are available, including our federal employee accident insurance, which provides coverage for accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D). Per the terms of AD&D, our federal employee accident insurance policies deliver payment to either you or your beneficiary, depending on whether the incident led to death or dismemberment.
Like many accident insurance policies, losses or deaths caused by select factors, such as the following, do not receive coverage:
If your government career tends to pose risks to your safety, federal employee accident insurance could serve as a valuable asset to you and your family.
Today, accidental death is the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S., following heart disease, cancer and chronic lower respiratory diseases. The rise in accidental deaths — it was once the fifth leading cause of death, versus fourth — emphasize the growing importance of accident insurance for employees in high-risk, high-stress careers, such as federal government.
For families, accident insurance for federal employees can provide additional support following a death or dismemberment, in coordination with your life or disability insurance. Together, the funds can help you, and your loved one, cover your living expenses, as well as limit the stress that often comes when out of work due to a life-changing injury. In the case of your passing, your federal employee accident insurance can give your family crucial funds for expenses and more.
Because our federal employee accident insurance policy arrives with low, affordable monthly premiums — as low as $6.30 per month — it's often a beneficial use of your funds. In many cases, it's difficult to prepare for the future or predict potential accidents, but our accident insurance policies for federal employees let you and your family plan for the unexpected.
Our accident insurance for federal employees, as well as our company policies, offers several benefits, including:
Another significant advantage of our accident insurance policy for federal employees is that it removes the middleman, giving you a better value and experience.
